Timerack Kiosk

Commercial client product | React Native | Tablet UX | Configuration-driven UI | Workforce technology

Adapting a core timekeeping system across tablets, clients, and deployment contexts.

  • Role: UX/UI Designer and Front-End Developer
  • Platform: iOS and Android tablet app
  • Scope: UX/UI adaptation, front-end implementation, app flavor / platform adjustments, design consistency.
  • Project snapshot

This page summarizes the project, my role, process, and outcome. Additional visuals and process artifacts will be added over time.

  • Introduction

I worked on Timerack Kiosk, a tablet-based timekeeping app that adapts the core time clock experience to a software-only deployment model. The project required maintaining consistency with the embedded time clock product while accounting for different screen sizes, platforms, and client configurations.

  • The challenge

The product needed to feel familiar to existing users while adapting to more variable hardware and deployment contexts. Because it shared logic and components with a related system, every design decision had to balance reuse, consistency, and platform-specific usability.

  • My contribution

    • Adapted the core UX and UI for tablet environments.
    • Handled front-end implementation and platform-specific adjustments in React Native.
    • Maintained shared design patterns to reduce training and support burden.
    • Balanced visual differentiation with the practical benefit of keeping products consistent across the ecosystem.
  • Outcome

The project extended an existing timekeeping system into a more flexible deployment model while preserving user trust and implementation efficiency through shared components and consistent interaction patterns.

  • One ecosystem, multiple contexts

This work reflects my ability to reuse product logic thoughtfully across platforms. Instead of treating the kiosk as a separate product, I adapted shared timekeeping behavior to a larger, public-facing interface with different constraints, helping maintain consistency across the broader ecosystem.
